Technical Analyst - API Connect & Data Power

job summary:

As a Subject Matter Expert (SME) and Systems Analyst, you will bridge the gap between business needs and technical implementation. You will lead the design, requirement gathering, and integration strategy for complex enterprise solutions, with a strong focus on API Connect management.

responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities 1. API Connect & Requirement Gathering

• Gather Requirements: Collect and define requirements across multiple workstreams for API Connect development.
• Document APIs: Maintain accurate API documentation within the API Connect management tool.
• Developer Handoffs: Prepare comprehensive technical documents outlining what needs to be updated, changed, or created for development teams.

2. Systems Analysis & Functional Design

• Elaborate Requirements: Translate complex business needs into functional designs aligned with Enterprise Business Process Architecture.
• Process & System Analysis: Analyze processes, validate designs through systems analysis, and perform code reverse-engineering when required.
• Traceability & Impact Analysis: Maintain end-to-end traceability across artifacts while evaluating upstream and downstream system impacts.
• Prioritization: Negotiate and prioritize requirements using release/phase management techniques and systems analysis tools.

3. Architecture, Strategy & Governance

• Solution Architecture: Guide the design, deployment, and maintenance of complex technical solutions using gap analysis, risk assessment, data mapping, and ROI constraints.
• Quality Assurance: Review models and documentation from Analysts, Architects, and Developers to ensure end-to-end product quality.
• Phasing & Scope: Support program goals by breaking large projects into incremental, iterative releases to deliver value faster.
• Synergy & Risk Management: Identify technical synergies and resolve conflicts across concurrent projects.

qualifications:

10 years of experience overall including recent experience with API Connect and Data Power
