Quick overview
Job description
Location: Indianapolis, Indiana
Duration: 3+ Years
1. Integrated service planning and work intake: Receive and assess CLIENT-approved testing requests, release priorities, application changes, defects, and planned work. Confirm the request's objective, scope, dependencies, required environments, data needs, acceptance expectations, target dates, and responsible stakeholders. Convert approved work into an integrated delivery plan that identifies work packages, accountable resources, sequencing, milestones, constraints, and decision points.
2. Test planning and execution governance: Coordinate development and review of test approaches, scenarios, test cases, test data, environment prerequisites, entry criteria, exit criteria, and execution schedules. Ensure that testing is proportionate to the nature and risk of the change and covers applicable functional, system, integration, regression, and UAT-support activities. Confirm that planned testing is traceable to requirements, release scope, and approved acceptance criteria.
3. Release and calendar coordination: Maintain a consolidated view of release dates, application changes, patch windows, dependencies, test cycles, environment availability, and CLIENT business events. Coordinate readiness reviews and communicate schedule impacts, competing priorities, and resource conflicts. Ensure that testing progress and unresolved issues are visible early enough for CLIENT to make informed release decisions.
4. Defect lifecycle and triage management: Establish consistent defect intake and tracking practices for assigned work. Ensure defects include reproducible steps, expected and actual results, severity or priority, supporting evidence, affected application, environment, and accountable owner. Coordinate triage with CLIENT and technical teams, monitor aging and recurring defects, arrange retesting, and verify closure evidence. Escalate defects that threaten acceptance criteria, release readiness, security, or business operations.
5. Resource, capacity, and assignment control: Assign work across the core team based on application knowledge, technical skills, availability, priority, and planned capacity. Monitor workload, competing commitments, absences, and specialist needs. Coordinate approved backup or surge coverage and ensure that new personnel receive appropriate onboarding, knowledge transfer, access, and direction. Identify capacity shortfalls and raise them before they affect delivery commitments.
6. Service-level and operational performance management: Monitor the service measures and performance commitments established in the contract, using available work records, test results, defect information, schedule status, and reporting data. Identify missed targets, emerging trends, and recurring causes of delay or rework. Coordinate corrective actions with role owners and report material exceptions to the Account Manager and CLIENT through agreed channels.
7. Risk, dependency, and issue management: Maintain visibility of delivery risks, assumptions, issues, dependencies, and decisions affecting test execution. Assess probability, impact, urgency, mitigation ownership, and escalation requirements. Coordinate resolution of environment, data, access, application, vendor, and stakeholder dependencies; record decisions and follow-up actions; and escalate matters that exceed delegated authority.
8. Status reporting and acceptance coordination: Prepare consolidated status information covering work intake, planned versus completed testing, execution results, defect position, risks, dependencies, resource status, and release readiness. Coordinate submission of test evidence and results for CLIENT review. Track feedback, acceptance decisions, outstanding actions, and closure status so that each assignment has a clear and supportable disposition.
