Application Programmer

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Quality Specialist for a hybrid position (3 days onsite) with a Global Financial Institution located in Charlotte, NC or Plano, TX. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.
The ideal candidate will combine deep hands-on experience in test automation with a solid understanding of the Salesforce platform and a willingness to contribute to development efforts when needed. This role spans the full software lifecycle from requirement analysis through deployment and demands strong knowledge of modern testing practices, Salesforce-specific design patterns, and CI/CD integration.
Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain automated tests for Salesforce LWC components, Apex classes, triggers, and integrations
• Develop and enhance reusable automation frameworks using Selenium, Provar, or equivalent tools
• Create and maintain Jest unit tests for LWC and Apex test classes, ensuring minimum 85% code coverage
• Execute regression, smoke, and end-to-end testing across Salesforce environments
• Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines using Salesforce CLI, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions
• Validate data integrity, governor limits, and FLS/CRUD security through automated scenarios
• Log, track, and analyze defects with clear reproduction steps and root-cause insights
• Contribute to LWC development, Apex trigger handlers, and Salesforce configuration changes as needed
• Participate in code reviews with a focus on testability, quality risks, and platform limits
• Collaborate with architects, analysts, and developers in an Agile environment to deliver scalable, high-quality solutions
• Assist with production issue diagnosis, root-cause analysis, and remediation

Requirements:

• Experience in Salesforce test automation (LWC, Aura, Apex)
• Proficiency in JavaScript, Python, or Java
• Hands-on experience with Salesforce testing tools (Jest, Apex Test Framework, Provar, Selenium)
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, Git, SFDX, and Agile tools (JIRA, Confluence)
• Understanding of Salesforce governor limits, bulk patterns, and security model
• Experience building custom automation frameworks
• Exposure to performance or load testing tools (e.g., JMeter, Blazemeter)
• Familiarity with ALM tools and Salesforce clouds (Sales, Service, Experience)
• Strong analytical, communication, and collaboration skills
• Ability to work in distributed teams and support development as required
• Technologies & Tools: Python, JavaScript (ES6+), Selenium, Jest, Provar, Salesforce CLI (SFDX), GitHub Actions
