The Role • Fabricate and install pipework systems using various materials including copper, cuni, carbon steel, and stainless steel. • Utilise hand tools and mechanical equipment for pipe cutting, bending, welding, and installation. • Install utilities such as sinks, showers, and toilets aboard vessels. • Read and interpret engineering drawings, pipework diagrams, and technical specifications for accurate assembly. • Collaborate with other trades to ensure efficient and timely project completion. • Adhere to strict safety regulations, company procedures, and environmental health standards. What You'll Need • A Modern Apprenticeship or Trade Papers qualification (SVQ3, City & Guilds, or equivalent). • Proven experience in pipe manufacture and installation within major projects. • Solid understanding of pipefitting methods, safe working practices, and trade-standard techniques. • Experience working from engineering drawings and technical specifications. • Knowledge and consistent application of SHE, COSHH, and risk assessment requirements. • Previous experience as a Pipefitter or in a similar trade within an industrial or commercial environment.
