The Role • Fabricate and install pipework systems using various materials (copper, cuni, carbon steel, stainless steel). • Utilize hand tools and mechanical equipment for cutting, bending, welding, and installing pipes. • Install utilities aboard ships, including sinks, showers, and toilets. • Assemble fittings, valves, and related components according to technical drawings and specifications. • Collaborate with other trades to ensure timely project completion. • Adhere to all safety regulations and company procedures. What You'll Need • A Modern Apprenticeship or Trade Papers (SVQ3, City & Guilds, or equivalent qualification). • Experience in pipe fabrication and installation using relevant tools and equipment for major projects. • Solid understanding of pipefitting methods, safe working practices, and trade-standard techniques. • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, pipework diagrams, and technical specifications. • Knowledge and consistent application of SHE, COSHH, and risk assessment requirements. • Previous experience as a Pipefitter or in a similar trade within an industrial or commercial environment.
