MUST-HAVE TECHNICAL SKILLS

• 7+ years of Database Administration experience

• 5+ years of SQL Server and Database Design experience

• 3+ years of Oracle RAC experience

• Strong hands-on experience with Oracle Database Administration, Performance Tuning, Backup and Recovery

• Experience with Database Security, Data Integrity, and Access Management

• Strong Linux and Windows Server administration experience

• Experience with Oracle Forms, Oracle Reports, Crystal Reports, Jasper, and Business Intelligence

• Working knowledge of PL/SQL, Java, JavaScript, .NET, XML, and JSON

• Experience with Agile and DevOps methodologies

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking an experienced Database Administrator to support and modernize enterprise database environments within the public sector and judicial technology industry.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience managing Oracle and SQL Server databases, supporting application development, optimizing database performance, and maintaining secure and reliable database environments.

This position will be part of an Agile technology team focused on modernizing legacy court management applications and supporting ongoing application development initiatives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Administer, monitor, optimize, and tune Oracle and SQL Server databases.

• Perform daily Oracle database administration, including single-instance and Oracle RAC environments.

• Manage database backup, recovery, security, and performance optimization.

• Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain Oracle database servers, clients, and application tools.

• Develop and maintain database objects, including tables, indexes, views, and stored procedures.

• Monitor database capacity, storage allocation, and system performance.

• Troubleshoot database and application-related issues.

• Support developers with database design, data modeling, and application development.

• Maintain database documentation, standards, and operational procedures.

• Collaborate with application, infrastructure, and support teams to coordinate software releases and continuous improvements.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience supporting enterprise application development environments.

• Knowledge of Oracle Forms and legacy application modernization.

• Familiarity with cloud database technologies, including Amazon RDS and Amazon Aurora.

• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to work independently and collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
