Database Administrator

RESPONSIBILITIES

Kforce's client in Tampa, FL is seeking a Database Administrator to join an enterprise database team supporting database projects, operations, and modernization initiatives. This DBA will serve as the primary DBA for new database deployments, work closely with project teams, developers, end users, vendors, and other contractors, and help determine database architectures that align with business requirements and IT standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and modify database systems and support new database deployments
• Support enterprise database modernization and vendor software implementations
• Help design database architectures for project and business needs
• Create and document reference architectures
• Support database performance, scalability, high availability, disaster recovery, and replication
• Work with technical teams and integrators on project initiatives
• Mentor other DBA team members
• Maintain clear documentation and communicate database/environment changes

REQUIREMENTS:

• Approximately 10 years of DBA experience
• SQL Server experience
• Oracle experience
• High Availability and Disaster Recovery experience
• Database replication and architecture experience
• Strong documentation, communication, and critical-thinking skills
• Azure/AWS experience is a plus
• PowerShell experience is a plus

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
