Senior Business Analyst - Onsite

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Senior Business Analyst for a direct hire position with a Major Insurance Company located in Albany, NYor Omaha, NE.

Compensation: $55.00 - $60.00 per hour, W2, based on qualifications Position Overview: This role serves as a strategic liaison between business stakeholders and technology teams, focusing on the elicitation, analysis, and validation of business requirements for insurance-related systems and processes. The ideal candidate will provide subject matter expertise in commercial insurance operations and policy administration systems while supporting Agile delivery teams to ensure solutions align with organizational objectives.

Key Responsibilities: Serve as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, eliciting, analyzing, documenting, and managing business and system requirements Provide subject matter expertise insurance products and processes, the policy admin and supporting systems, assessing business impacts and recommending solution approaches Collaborate with Agile teams to define requirements, acceptance criteria, priorities, and solution outcomes Support system and/or user acceptance level testing, implementation readiness, and validation of delivered solutions Facilitate issue analysis, production support, knowledge transfer, and stakeholder communications throughout the solution lifecycle Conduct issue triage and escalation as it relates to requirements/technical issues for the client/project Mentor business analysts, perform peer reviews, and promote best practices in business analysis methodologies and tools Primary Requirements: 5+ years of Business Analysis experience, preferably within the Property & Casualty insurance industry 3+ years of insurance business experience (claims, underwriting, business analysis, etc.) Strong knowledge of insurance operations and ability to understand the business area's functions and systems Experience gathering and documenting business, functional, and non-functional requirements Demonstrated ability to collaborate with business stakeholders and technical teams in Agile delivery environments Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent experience

Desired Skills: Experience with Azure DevOps and business analysis tools CBAP, PMI-PBA, or comparable business analysis certification Advanced degree (MBA or related discipline) Attitude and aptitude will be primary qualifications for this role.
