Job Description

Senior/Principal PCB Designer | Chula Vista, CA, United States | Hybrid | $86,000 - $166,000

We're hiring on behalf of a respected leader in semiconductor solutions, serving critical sectors like Data Centers, Telecommunications, and Industrial & Defense applications. With a legacy spanning over 75 years, this organization boasts a global presence and a commitment to quality and environmental standards. They are renowned for their expertise in MMIC design and integrated microwave assemblies.

The Role

  • Responsible for schematic entry, layout, and release of printed circuit boards for RF, Microwave, and Millimeter-Wave products.
  • Create 2D and 3D models of PCBs using industry-standard CAD software.
  • Develop professional schematics synchronized with BOMs and physical layouts, minimizing back-and-forth with engineers.
  • Communicate design challenges effectively, leveraging extensive experience and knowledge.
  • Generate manufacturing drawings, documentation, and update design rules as required.
  • Lead peer reviews of design and layout concepts and strategies.

What You'll Need

  • High school diploma or GED with 9+ years of work experience, or a B.S. in engineering with 5+ years of experience.
  • Prior experience with CAD platforms such as Altium, PADS, Xpedition, or AutoCAD.
  • Strong knowledge of drafting standards and best practices, with a detail-oriented and quality-focused mindset.
  • Basic understanding of electronic circuits (digital and analog) and ability to perform basic electrical measurements.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and documentation skills, with strong interpersonal abilities to build partnerships.
  • Due to ITAR regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Citizen, National, or Permanent Resident.
