PCB Designer - Senior/Principal | San Diego, CA | Hybrid | $86,000 - $166,000
We're hiring on behalf of a leading semiconductor technology company that has been a critical supplier for data center, telecommunication, industrial, and defense markets for over 75 years. The Role
• Responsible for schematic entry, layout, and release of printed circuit boards for RF, Microwave, and Millimeter-Wave products.
• Create 2D and 3D modeling of printed circuit boards using industry-standard CAD software.
• Generate professional schematics synchronized with BOMs and physical layouts with minimal engineer interaction.
• Communicate design and layout challenges effectively based on extensive experience.
• Produce manufacturing drawings and necessary documentation.
• Lead peer reviews of design and layout concepts and strategies.
What You'll Need
• A High School diploma or GED with 9+ years of relevant work experience, or a B.S. in engineering with 5+ years of experience.
• Proven experience with CAD platforms such as Altium, PADS, Xpedition, or similar.
• Strong knowledge of drafting standards and best practices in PCB design.
• Detail-oriented and quality-focused approach to all design tasks.
• Basic understanding of electronic circuits (digital and analog) and the ability to perform basic electrical measurements.
• Excellent communication, organization, and documentation skills, with the ability to build strong partnerships.
