Hardware Team Leader | Tonbridge, United Kingdom | On-site | £60,000 per annum

The Role

  • Provide managerial and technical leadership to a team of hardware engineers supporting production programs.
  • Manage work packages, including cost, schedule, risk, and opportunities.
  • Ensure the engineering team effectively supports production program demands.
  • Uphold technical governance and ensure adherence to company processes.
  • Lead cost and performance trade-off analyses.

What You'll Need

  • Proven track record of high performance in leading and managing engineering teams through a full product development lifecycle.
  • Experience with cost and planning management tools, solution optimization, and work package control.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify improvements in working practices and team skill development, focusing on failure reduction and Mean Down Time Between Failures (MDBF).
  • Experience with safety-critical systems and requirements management tools (e.g., DOORS) is desirable.
  • Experience with work-package management tools (e.g., MSP, JIRA) is desirable.
