The Role

• Work closely with the bid team to understand requirements and ensure they are flowed down through operations and supply chain.
• Develop high-impact, cost-effective estimates for winning proposals.
• Collaborate with operations and supply chain teams to agree achievable timescales for estimates.
• Support customer and supplier fact-finding initiatives.
• Analyse build and support activity durations to reveal true production costs as designs evolve.
• Influence key bid decisions and drive continuous improvement in processes.

What You'll Need

• Demonstrated ability to create detailed Manufacturing Build Instructions, SOPs, and tooling/fixturing designs.
• Understanding of the transition from design to full-scale manufacturing, ensuring Design for Manufacture (DFM).
• Proven experience using ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Epicor) to manage complex Bills of Materials (BOMs).
• Experience in calculating resourcing profiles and ensuring the right skill mix.
• Qualification in a relevant engineering discipline or equivalent experience.
• Experience with estimating future targets and improving processes.
