- *The Role**
- Collaborate with bid teams to understand requirements and translate them into achievable timescales for estimates.
- Develop high-impact, cost-effective estimates to shape winning proposals.
- Liaise with operations and supply chain teams to gather necessary information for estimates.
- Support customer and supplier fact-finding exercises.
- Influence key bid decisions based on thorough analysis and estimation.
- Drive continuous improvement by analysing build and support activity durations.
- *What You'll Need**
- Proven ability to create detailed Manufacturing Build Instructions, SOPs, and tooling/fixturing designs.
- Understanding of design transition from development to full-scale manufacturing and Design for Manufacture (DFM) principles.
- Experience using ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Epicor) for managing complex Bills of Materials (BOMs).
- Experience in calculating resourcing profiles and ensuring the right skill mix.
- A qualification in a relevant engineering discipline or equivalent experience.
- Experience in estimating future targets and improving processes.
