The Role

• Operate specialized heavy equipment, including hostlers, cranes, top loaders, and side loaders, to move shipping containers.
• Load and unload containers from railcars and trucks precisely and safely.
• Position containers and chassis within the intermodal yard using hostlers.
• Stack, move, and organize containers, maintaining an efficient flow of goods.
• Conduct pre- and post-operation equipment inspections to ensure safety and functionality.
• Collaborate with yard personnel and supervisors to coordinate daily tasks and container movements.

What You'll Need

• A valid driver's license is mandatory for this position.
• Previous experience operating heavy equipment in logistics or industrial settings is preferred.
• A strong commitment to safety protocols and keen attention to detail.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50lbs and climbing ladders/stairs.
• Willingness to work flexible schedules, including night shifts (2nd or 3rd shift), in various weather conditions.
• Basic communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
