The Role • Operate heavy machinery to load and unload shipping containers from various transport modes. • Drive specialized yard equipment (hostlers) to maneuver containers within the intermodal yard. • Utilize equipment like top loaders, side loaders, and cranes for container stacking and organization. • Conduct thorough pre- and post-operation inspections of equipment to ensure safety and functionality. • Collaborate with yard personnel and supervisors to coordinate daily tasks and movements. • Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to maintain a secure and efficient work environment. What You'll Need • A valid driver's license is mandatory for this position. • Previous experience operating heavy equipment or machinery in logistics is preferred. • Strong commitment to safety standards and a keen eye for detail. • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs. • Willingness to work outdoor conditions in various weather and varied shifts. • Basic communication skills and the ability to function effectively within a team.
