The Role

• Operate specialized heavy equipment, including hostlers, cranes, and loaders, to move shipping containers.
• Safely load and unload containers from railcars and trucks, ensuring efficient yard operations.
• Position containers and chassis accurately within the intermodal yard.
• Conduct pre- and post-operation equipment inspections to ensure safety and functionality.
• Collaborate effectively with yard personnel and supervisors to coordinate daily tasks.
• Adhere to established safety protocols and maintain a secure work environment.

What You'll Need

• A valid driver's license is mandatory for this position.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Willingness to work flexible schedules, including night shifts.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs and climb ladders/stairs.
