Tech Project Manager

Our client is seeking an experienced Technology Project Manager to design and establish a new Center of Excellence (CoE) focused on Managed Service Provider (MSP) excellence within the Global Technology Solutions organization.

This is a build-from-the-ground-up engagement. The CoE is not yet established, SIAM standards are largely undocumented, and existing playbooks are still developing. The selected consultant will define the CoE operating model, establish governance standards and playbooks, develop enablement and training programs, and create sustainable documentation that can be transitioned to the client's permanent team.

The ideal candidate will bring strong experience in SIAM, IT Service Management, MSP governance, CoE development, operating model design, process standardization, training, and consulting delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Define the purpose, scope, operating model, governance structure, and responsibilities of the MSP Excellence CoE.
• Establish clear interfaces between the CoE and Provider Governance, Finance, Data, SPOps, and other technology functions.
• Establish the CoE's standards council, including meeting cadence, decision-making processes, and approval mechanisms.
• Develop and implement SIAM standards, governance frameworks, process playbooks, operating procedures, and service management practices.
• Create reusable templates, checklists, standards, reference materials, and governance artifacts for ongoing use.
• Develop practical and scalable standards that are aligned with the organization's current maturity level.
• Design and deliver training programs for retained teams covering SIAM principles, MSP governance, vendor expectations, service management, and evidence standards.
• Develop standardized onboarding materials and enablement programs for new service providers and internal team members.
• Conduct an initial MSP governance maturity assessment and identify capability and process gaps.
• Develop a maturity roadmap with recommendations and priorities for the permanent organization.
• Establish documentation standards that enable the permanent team to independently maintain and evolve CoE assets.
• Support knowledge transfer and transition to the incoming permanent team.
• Manage stakeholders, timelines, deliverables, risks, and dependencies independently.
• Operate as a trusted consulting partner while delivering against defined scope and objectives.

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in technology consulting, enterprise technology, IT service management, MSP governance, CoE development, or related environments.
• Demonstrated experience building or establishing Centers of Excellence, governance functions, enablement programs, or capability development organizations.
• Strong experience with SIAM (Service Integration and Management) and multi-provider managed service environments.
• Experience developing governance standards, operating models, process playbooks, SOPs, templates, and training programs.
• Experience working across multiple service providers/vendors and establishing consistent governance practices.
• Demonstrated ability to conduct maturity assessments and develop capability improvement roadmaps.
• Strong stakeholder management, facilitation, presentation, and communication skills.
• Experience designing and delivering training and enablement programs for audiences with varying levels of experience.
• Ability to work independently, structure ambiguous requirements, manage deliverables, and operate effectively in a consulting environment.
• Strong documentation and knowledge-transfer discipline.
• Bachelor's degree required.
