Senior Business Analyst with Public Safety Systems experience

About the Company
Company is an organization operating in the public safety and government services sector, focused on modernizing critical justice-related technology systems. The client is undertaking a Jail Management System replacement program, working with business stakeholders, technical teams, and vendors to deliver improved operational capabilities for public safety operations.

Key Responsibilities
Translate documented business needs into functional and nonfunctional system requirements, and work with users to resolve issues and clarify requirements
Partner with development teams and vendors to create prototype designs for medium- to high-risk projects
Write detailed unit and system test scripts based on functional requirements, and facilitate user acceptance testing as needed
Assess business operations and recommend process improvements, automation opportunities, and technology solutions
Gather, consolidate, and communicate input from subject matter experts
Partner with business users, project managers, and developers on high-level software design and integration
Analyze existing systems, operations, workflows, and data flows to develop system designs, delivery roadmaps, and integrations
Produce detailed design documents and coordinate implementation requirements with stakeholders
Support the full systems development lifecycle, including needs assessment, problem definition, requirements analysis, and evaluation of business solutions
Provide consultation, technical assistance, and responsive customer service to stakeholders throughout implementation
Document business requirements for change requests and break/fix work
Support internal and external integrations, including design, testing, and troubleshooting
Provide metrics for reporting, system performance, and process control
Participate in or lead user training as needed
Required Qualifications
5+ years of experience
Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, or a related field from an accredited college or university
