Job Description

Payroll Specialist (Part-Time) | Essen, Germany | Hybrid We are looking for a skilled Payroll Specialist to join a prominent leader in retail and discount innovation, known for its extensive market presence and commitment to operational excellence. This role is crucial in ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing for a significant employee base, contributing to the smooth functioning of a large, dynamic organization. The Role • Manage and execute monthly payroll for various entities, ensuring compliance with all legal, tariff, and internal regulations. • Prepare employment contracts, references, and maintain employee files and archives. • Advise employees and management on payroll-related matters, including labor law, tax, and social security issues. • Serve as the primary contact for health insurance providers, social security agencies, and authorities, handling reporting and certification requirements. • Process and reconcile payroll data for accounting purposes, including journal entries and accruals. • Review and implement changes in payroll legislation and processes. • Analyze existing processes and identify opportunities for optimization. What You'll Need • Completed commercial apprenticeship and several years of experience in payroll processing or personnel administration. • Proficient knowledge of current labor, payroll tax, and social security law. • Strong command of MS Office, particularly Excel. • Familiarity with HR administration and payroll systems, preferably SAP HCM or P&I Loga. • High commitment, strong service orientation, initiative, and an independent work style. • Excellent teamwork, reliability, and resilience. • Effective stakeholder management and strong problem-solving skills. • Interest in digital HR transformation.
