Director, Network Operations

RESPONSIBILITIES

Kforce has a client seeking a Director, Network Operations in Fort Lauderdale, FL to lead the strategy, delivery, and operational excellence of a global enterprise network environment. This leader will oversee network operations, infrastructure modernization, vendor partnerships, and engineering teams while ensuring reliable, secure, and scalable connectivity across enterprise and cloud environments.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute network and connectivity strategies aligned with business objectives
• Lead global network operations, ensuring high availability, performance, security, and compliance
• Drive infrastructure modernization initiatives across cloud, data center, WAN, LAN, and SD-WAN environments
• Establish operational standards, KPIs, SLAs, and continuous improvement programs
• Build and develop high-performing engineering and operations teams
• Manage network budgets, technology investments, and cost optimization initiatives
• Partner with business leaders, technology teams, and vendors to deliver strategic outcomes
• Oversee vendor relationships, contract negotiations, and service delivery performance

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
• 10+ years of experience in network engineering, infrastructure operations, or connectivity services
• 5+ years of leadership experience managing enterprise technology teams
• Expertise in enterprise networking, cloud connectivity, WAN/LAN, SD-WAN, network security, and infrastructure operations
• Experience leading large-scale infrastructure transformation initiatives
• Strong executive communication, stakeholder management, and vendor negotiation skills

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
