We are seeking an experienced Electronic Technician to support the repair, maintenance, testing, and troubleshooting of advanced electronic systems and assemblies. The role involves working with complex electronic equipment, performing component-level diagnostics, assembly work, soldering, calibration, and preventative maintenance activities. About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Electronic Technician to support the repair, maintenance, testing, and troubleshooting of advanced electronic systems and assemblies. The role involves working with complex electronic equipment, performing component-level diagnostics, assembly work, soldering, calibration, and preventative maintenance activities. This position requires strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a team-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Fabricate, assemble, and disassemble electronic subassemblies.
- Perform cable assembly, cable harness assembly, and wiring activities.
- Repair electronic assemblies through component replacement and rework.
- Conduct preventative maintenance on electronic test equipment and test stations.
- Troubleshoot electronic systems to the component level and identify corrective actions.
- Perform testing using oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, digital multimeters, curve tracers, and signal generators.
- Execute engineering and experimental tests following documented procedures.
- Perform calibration checks on electronic instruments and equipment.
- Read and interpret production specifications, assembly drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
- Follow work instructions, test procedures, and process documentation.
- Support testing, tuning, and validation of electronic assemblies and subassemblies.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve technical issues.
- Associate degree in Electronics or a related field with 3+ years of electronics experience, OR
- High School Diploma/GED with 5+ years of relevant electronics experience.
- Ability to read and interpret assembly drawings, wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical documentation in English.
- Experience with cable assembly and cable harness assembly.
- Electrical soldering and micro-soldering experience.
- Soldering certification.
- Experience using electronic test equipment such as oscilloscopes and digital multimeters.
- Familiarity with electronic components and troubleshooting techniques.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Ability to work onsite in Warner Robins, GA.
- Aerospace and Defense industry experience.
- Surface mount soldering experience.
- Experience with Automatic Test Equipment (ATE).
- Experience testing and troubleshooting RF assemblies and subassemblies.
- Experience tuning and testing microwave assemblies.
- Experience working with Electronic Warfare systems.
- Additional soldering certifications or advanced soldering expertise.
