Job Description

Welder | Bellshill, United Kingdom | On-site | £38,662

We're seeking skilled Welders on behalf of a globally recognised organisation at the forefront of defence and aerospace technology. The Role

  • Weld carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum using various processes including MMA, MAG, MIG, FCAW, and automated systems.
  • Produce high-quality butt and fillet welds, including specialized work with ceramic tiles.
  • Conduct self-verification of welds to ensure consistent quality and compliance with standards.
  • Adhere to strict safety and environmental, health, and safety (EHS) requirements, implementing effective fume control measures.
  • Work as part of a team to deliver complex welding solutions for significant projects.

What You'll Need

  • Hold a Modern Apprenticeship certificate (Trade Papers) and relevant mechanical qualifications (e.g., SVQ3, City & Guilds).
  • Proven experience in ceramic-tile welding, Flux-Cored Arc Welding (FCAW), Metal-Cored Arc Welding (MCAW), and associated equipment.
  • Ability to produce welds that consistently meet visual and Non-Destructive Examination (NDE) standards.
  • Skilled in welding carbon steel materials within the 4-15 mm thickness range.
  • Strong understanding of EHS requirements and application of risk assessment principles in welding activities.
  • Experience in maritime, construction, manufacturing, or similar environments, including MIG aluminum welding and automated systems, is beneficial.
