Job Description

We are seeking a Scientist II - LNP Formulation to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in lipid nanoparticle formulation, nucleic acid encapsulation, and analytical characterization, and a proven ability to execute DoE-based optimization and deliver reproducible results for in vitro and in vivo studies.

Responsibilities:

• Execute and optimize formulation and characterization of LNPs and targeted LNPs encapsulating nucleic acids for in vitro and in vivo studies under minor guidance of senior formulation scientists.


• Implement Design of Experiment screening campaigns to establish optimal compositions and processing parameters.


• Collaborate cross-functionally to support and fulfill formulation requests.


• Support early-stage formulation development and downstream processing, including cryoprotection, scale-up, and stability studies.


• Maintain detailed records documenting formulation activities and results.


• Analyze, interpret, and present experimental data to the formulation team.


• Contribute to routine lab management, including inventory tracking, supply ordering, buffer preparation, and autoclaving.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related discipline with 5+ years of biopharma industry experience, or a Master's with 2+ years of industry experience.


• LNP expertise: 2+ years of hands-on experience in LNP formulation and nucleic acid encapsulation (mRNA, siRNA, or DNA).


• Analytical proficiency with DLS, zeta potential, and RiboGreen assays.


• High proficiency in MS Excel; experience with statistical and data analysis software such as JMP or Prism is preferred.


• Core competencies: Attention to detail, reproducible data generation, strong organization, and effective communication in a fast-paced team environment.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with targeted LNP preparation, including mAb-, Fab-, scFv-, or VHH-coated LNPs.


• Experience in immune cell delivery.
