Title: Mainframe Developer IV
Location: Remote
Duration: 11+ Months
Role Overview
This position is for a Mainframe Developer who will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and providing technical support for mainframe technology. The role involves managing the product lifecycle to ensure operational availability and participating in all agile ceremonies, from architecture and design to delivery. The successful candidate will act as a technical expert on an agile squad, modeling software development best practices.
Key Responsibilities

• Serve as a mainframe Subject Matter Expert (SME).
• Design and implement new features while improving the quality of technical products and applications.
• Participate in infrastructure planning and provide insight into the future of relevant technology areas.
• Develop software that meets established code quality standards and metrics.
• Drive the architecture of solutions across multiple services and applications.
• Practice test-driven development and guide communities of practice by mentoring other developers.
• Achieve operational excellence by automating processes and writing maintainable, supportable, and testable code.
• Maintain effective partnerships with operations and engineering teams to drive service improvement.
• Maintain appropriate controls and documentation to ensure compliance with audit requirements.

Required Qualifications
Education: A technical degree, Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Information Systems, or comparable work experience is required. A bachelor's degree with 20+ years of experience is noted.
Experience: Requires 10+ years of experience with the AmTrust accounting system. The role requires knowledge and experience in multiple disciplines within the mainframe domain, as well as application design and development skills.
Technical Skills:

• Expert knowledge of Mainframe Operating System (IBM MVS Z/OS) and Hardware.
• Strong knowledge of TSO and Mainframe technology.
• Experience with COBOL, CICS, Base SAS, JCL, and MQ.
• Experience with File Transfer Protocol (FTP).
• Prior experience with Git and GitHub.
• Knowledge of functional software design and software development best practices.

Preferred Qualifications

• Direct experience with AMTrust/AMAdministrator and/or Global PlUnity.
• A background in Wealth and Asset Management.
