Angular Developer
Location: Jersey City, New Jersey (Hybrid)
Duration: 12 months
Role Overview
We are seeking a senior developer to join our team. This role is responsible for developing, enhancing, modifying, and maintaining an application used for the Independent Price Verification process within the Global Markets business. This position offers an opportunity to work with an Angular, REST API, Python, and Oracle technology stack and interact with senior stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities

• Develop object-orientated software in Python, using an object-oriented database and grid computing.
• Develop data transfer tools to replicate data from a no-SQL datastore to an Oracle (Exadata) database.
• Build REST web services.
• Design the interface between the UI and the REST service.
• Build a data-grid-centric UI based on the Angular framework.
• Participate fully in the development process through the entire software lifecycle.
• Participate fully in an Agile software development process.

Required Qualifications
Experience:

• A minimum of 6-10 years of overall technology experience is required.
• A minimum of 6-10 years of experience designing and developing in an object-oriented environment with any OO language (e.g., Java, C++, C#) is required.
• 3-5 years of Python experience is required.
• 6-10 years of experience designing and tuning SQL database tables and queries is required.
• Experience with grid computing and high data volume is needed.
• Experience with test-driven development, functional testing, and continuous integration is desirable.
• Experience and a desire to work in an Agile process (pair programming, daily stand-ups, etc.) are required.
• Demonstrable knowledge of the problem domain is required.
• Relevant industry experience in banking middle/back office or finance is required.

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in Python, SQL, and Oracle is required.
• Experience with git, npm, and Angular (15.x or later) is a plus.

Professional Skills:

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are necessary.
• Candidates must be able to work directly with the client.
• A passion to learn new technology is expected.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with Global Markets is a plus.
• Experience with a range of languages and technologies, especially C++/Java and Python, is preferred.
