Job Description

  • Role : Business Analyst
    Work Location: Burns Building, 605 Suwannee Street, Tallahassee, Florida (Hybrid )
    Interview: In person or Microsoft Teams, at the hiring manager's discretion.
    Experience: Minimum 6 years
Key Responsibilities
  • Gather, analyze, document, and prioritize business and functional requirements.
  • Perform As-Is and To-Be business process analysis and workflow redesign.
  • Translate business requirements into user stories and clear acceptance criteria.
  • Manage product and sprint backlogs using Azure DevOps.
  • Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, sprint planning, and release planning.
  • Facilitate requirement-gathering sessions with HR stakeholders and technical teams.
  • Analyze data requirements, application integrations, and functional gaps.
  • Prepare functional specifications, design documents, process flows, mockups, and context diagrams.
  • Develop test strategies, test plans, test cases, and test data.
  • Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT), document defects, and coordinate issue resolution.
  • Prepare project schedules, implementation plans, desk procedures, and user documentation.
  • Perform QA reviews to verify that application functionality meets requirements.

Preferred Skills
  • HR systems, payroll systems, or position management applications
  • State government or government administrative applications
  • Data validation and data relationship analysis
  • CBAP, ISTQB, or similar business analysis/QA certifications
Ideal Candidate Profile
A senior-level Business Analyst with at least 6 years of professional experience in business analysis, requirements engineering, and QA documentation. Candidates with experience in HR workflow automation, government applications, Azure DevOps, Agile delivery, and UAT leadership are especially suitable.
