An opportunity has arisen for a Stress Engineer to join a world-leading aircraft manufacturer’s Engineering Team, embedded directly within the active Plant Engineering Team in Broughton, UK.
You will join an established team of passionate Structural Engineers, technical specialists, and engineering leads dedicated to developing robust technical solutions and supporting world-class aircraft wing programs throughout their production lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Operating as a Night Shift Stress Engineer, you will work alongside existing stress analysts to support live plant operations. Core responsibilities include:
• Performing static structural analysis on both metallic and advanced composite structures.
• Analyzing and validating components (Metallic, Composite, and Hybrids) for Static Strength and Fatigue & Damage Tolerance (F&DT).
• Calculating strength margins and reserve factors using validated, industry-standard sizing processes and methodologies.
• Providing structural stress analyses to support non-conformance, repair, and acceptance activities for metallic and composite assemblies.
• Ensuring all structural evaluations strictly uphold airworthiness, safety, and regulatory compliance standards.

Please Note: As the manufacturing plant operates 24/7, this role is dedicated to night shift working patterns to support continuous assembly line operations.

Key Skills & Experience Required

• Strong background in stress analysis within the aerospace sector (commercial, military, or general aviation platforms).
• Experience evaluating static strength, F&DT, and non-conformances on metallic and composite aircraft structures.
• Candidates without prior delegation who possess strong, relevant stress analysis, structural repair, or concessions experience are encouraged to apply.
• Proven ability to deliver technical solutions in a fast-paced manufacturing or plant engineering environment.
• Prior held T400 Concessions Approval (or equivalent structural concessions/sign-off delegation) Desirable
