SAP R2R Project Manager

SAP Record-to-Report (R2R)
Location: Fremont, CA ( Onsite )

An SAP Record-to-Report (R2R) Project Manager functions strictly as a non-technical business delivery leader, focusing entirely on project governance, timeline execution, and finance business alignment.

This role manages the delivery team and implementation partners but does not perform hands-on system configuration, data mapping, or technical troubleshooting.

Core Responsibilities:

* Project Governance & Delivery: Own the end-to-end project lifecycle, managing timelines, milestones, resource allocation, and budget tracking using SAP Activate, Agile, or Waterfall methodologies.

* Stakeholder & Change Management: Serve as the primary liaison between corporate finance executives (CFOs, Controllers, FP&A) and the technical implementation partners or configuration teams.

* Scope & Risk Management: Monitor project scope closely to prevent scope creep, proactively mitigate risks, and resolve blockers impacting the financial workstreams.

* Vendor & Partner Management: Oversee the deliverables, service level agreements (SLAs), and staffing metrics of external system integrators or consulting firms.

* Business Readiness: Drive user acceptance testing (UAT) sign-offs, training programs, and data migration readiness from a business validation standpoint.

Key Qualifications:

* Experience: 8+ years of formal project management experience leading large-scale ERP or finance transformation initiatives, including full-lifecycle SAP implementations.

* Domain Awareness: Strong conceptual knowledge of the R2R lifecycle (General Ledger, Fixed Assets, Financial Closing, Group Reporting) to effectively manage timelines and communicate with business teams.

* Credentials: PMP (Project Management Professional) or equivalent project management certification is highly preferred.

* Leadership Skills: Proven track record in executive presentation, budget management, conflict resolution, and cross-functional team leadership.
