Job Description

RESPONSIBILITIES

Kforce has a client in McLean, VA that is seeking an Aircraft Maintenance & Logistics Analyst.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced to support a major bomber program within a defense acquisition and sustainment environment. This role will provide lifecycle logistics, maintenance, and sustainment expertise for aircraft, weapon systems, and support equipment programs. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Integrated Logistics Support (ILS), sustainment planning, and defense acquisition programs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support logistics planning and execution across the full weapon system lifecycle
  • Conduct logistics, supportability, reliability, maintainability, and operational analyses to improve system readiness and sustainment outcomes
  • Develop recommendations for maintenance planning, manpower requirements, training, provisioning, support equipment, technical data, transportation, and facilities
  • Support development of Life Cycle Cost (LCC) and Total Ownership Cost (TOC) management strategies
  • Analyze maintenance and failure data to identify reliability and maintainability improvement opportunities
  • Develop Business Case Analyses (BCAs), Plans of Action & Milestones (POA&Ms), and logistics work packages
  • Coordinate modernization efforts with depot and field maintenance organizations
  • Collaborate with government, OEM, and cross-functional stakeholders to align schedules, funding, provisioning, configuration management, and sustainment activities
  • Support acquisition and sustainment programs through milestone reviews and documentation development
REQUIREMENTS:
  • 10+ years of experience in acquisition logistics, maintenance planning, sustainment, supportability analysis, operational availability analysis, resource requirements analysis, and Integrated Logistics Support (ILS)
  • Experience supporting defense acquisition programs through lifecycle milestones, including MSA, TMRR, EMD, Production, Deployment, and Operations & Support (O&S)
  • Experience analyzing and resolving sustainment challenges, including DMSMS and supply chain deficiencies
  • Experience conducting life-cycle cost, schedule, and risk analyses to support long-term weapon system supportability
  • Experience supporting depot activation activities, including avionics repair and testing initiatives
  • Experience developing and reviewing logistics and acquisition documentation such as ILSPs, LCSPs, Technical Orders, RCMAs, SLAs, MOAs/MOUs, SOOs, SOWs, PWSs, and eSSS documentation
  • Experience managing Government Furnished Equipment (GFE), Government Furnished Property (GFP), support equipment, and provisioning requirements
  • Experience developing support strategies for critical assets, spares, tooling, materials, and technical data delivery

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of relevant experience, or Master's degree and 3+ years of relevant experience
  • Additional years of directly related experience may be considered in lieu of a degree where applicable
  • Experience performing DMSMS analyses and developing mitigation strategies for legacy systems undergoing modernization
  • Experience supporting aircraft or weapon system sustainment programs within a Department of Defense environment
  • Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder coordination skills
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
