Grocery Team Leader

Lead the grocery department by supervising and developing team members, managing inventory and ordering, implementing merchandising initiatives, and monitoring sales, profits, shrink, labor, and safety. Help ensure products and promotions meet customer needs while maintaining a welcoming, inclusive team environment.

Responsibilities

• Interview, select, train, and supervise grocery department team members.
• Assign work, plan schedules, provide feedback, and coach staff for development.
• Manage grocery ordering, inventory, and periodic stock counts.
• Implement merchandising and promotional initiatives to support sales.
• Review sales, profit, labor, inventory, and shrink reports to improve department performance.
• Maintain safety, food handling, and compliance standards for team members, guests, and products.
