Job Description

Amazon is seeking an IT Support Engineer I to keep our retail and operations technologies running smoothly. In this onsite role, you will provide hands-on support for workstations, scanners, printers, and networked devices across a fast-paced operations environment. You will diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity issues, manage tickets, and document solutions while following security and change management standards. Partnering with operations and engineering teams, you'll support technology rollouts and continuous improvement, gaining exposure to large-scale, cutting-edge systems that power Amazon's global retail business.

Responsibilities

  • Provide frontline technical support for onsite operations and retail technologies, including workstations, devices, and networking equipment
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, and connectivity issues to minimize downtime and keep fulfillment and retail operations running smoothly
  • Install, configure, and maintain IT equipment, following Amazon standards and security best practices
  • Monitor ticket queues, prioritize incidents, and document resolutions in tracking systems
  • Collaborate with operations and engineering teams to support new technology rollouts and process improvements
  • Escalate complex issues to senior engineers while maintaining clear, timely communication with stakeholders
  • Maintain inventory and perform routine checks to ensure systems, peripherals, and cabling remain reliable and compliant
  • Follow change management and incident response procedures in a fast-paced, 24/7 environment
