Infrastructure Consultant

KayDev Technology is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Consultant / Desktop Engineer to support the New York State Office of Children and Family Services (OCFS) in New York City.

Responsibilities:

• Provide desktop engineering and advanced technical support for Windows 10/11 workstations.
• Manage Active Directory accounts, Group Policy, and endpoint configurations.
• Deploy Windows images and create and manage software packages.
• Administer Mobile Device Management (MDM) solutions.
• Troubleshoot VPN, VDI, two-factor authentication, and network printing issues.
• Support networking concepts including DHCP, VLANs, ACLs, and firewalls.
• Apply endpoint security tools, including antivirus, PKI, disk encryption, and security hardening.
• Automate tasks using PowerShell and VBScript.
• Manage tickets and queues, prioritizing by impact and urgency.
• Follow cybersecurity best practices and agency compliance requirements.

Required Experience (7+ years in each):

• Desktop Engineering
• Active Directory administration and Group Policy
• Mobile Device Management (MDM)
• Windows image deployment and package management
• Networking (DHCP, VLANs, ACLs, firewalls)
• PowerShell and VBScript scripting
• Endpoint security (antivirus, PKI, disk encryption, hardening)
• VPN, VDI, 2FA, and network printing support
• Intel workstation hardware and operating systems
• Ticket and queue management in a fast-paced environment
