Baer is looking for Solution Architect for a 12 month project located in Phoenix, AZ
Title: Solution Architect
Location: Hybrid - Phoenix, AZ (2 days in-office weekly)
Duration: 12 months
Rate: Hourly Plus Expenses Reimbursed
Alignment: W2
Overview
We are Seeking an experienced Solutions Architect with strong expertise in AI, cloud, and backend development to design scalable solutions, lead technical teams, build AI-powered applications, and support client-facing pre-sales activities.
Responsibility:

  • Lead the architecture, design, and development of scalable AI, cloud, and backend solutions.
  • Collaborate with sales, pre-sales, and delivery teams to identify opportunities and develop innovative solution offerings.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to cross-functional Agile development teams.
  • Design and develop prototypes, proof-of-concepts (POCs), and proof-of-values (POVs).
  • Support client engagements through hands-on development, architecture reviews, and technical problem-solving.
  • Participate in pre-sales discussions, solution presentations, project scoping, and ROM estimations.
  • Create and maintain architecture diagrams, technical documentation, data flows, and implementation guidelines.
  • Establish architectural standards, best practices, and governance across projects.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend solutions that deliver business value.
  • Mentor engineers, promote knowledge sharing, and serve as a technical escalation point for complex challenges.


Requirements:

  • Strong full-stack development background with deep hands-on expertise in Python and Node.js.
  • Experience designing scalable backend services, microservices, and distributed systems.
  • Strong knowledge of API development and integration, including REST, GraphQL, and gRPC.
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure; AWS experience is an advantage.
  • Practical experience with AI/ML technologies, including LLMs, prompt engineering, AI agents, and RAG architectures.
  • Familiarity with relational and NoSQL databases and data integration technologies such as Snowflake, Databricks, Azure Data Factory, or AWS Glue.
  • Experience with technical solution design, architecture documentation, and software development best practices.
  • Exposure to pre-sales activities, project estimation, and client-facing technical discussions.
  • Strong communication, analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, adapt quickly, and collaborate effectively across teams.
  • Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Familiarity with frontend frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
  • Bachelor’s Degree
