Product Owner Payment Gateway

We are hiring for the given below requirement

Role: Product Owner – Payment Gateway

Location: Fort Worth, TX (Hybrid)

Duration: 12+ Months

Must Have:

• Strong domain knowledge of the US Payments System and Payment Gateway ecosystem.
• US Payments System / Payment Gateway Domain – Yrs of Exp – 8+ years
• Technical Product Ownership, Product Strategy & Roadmap – Yrs of Exp – 8+ years
• Payment Lifecycle: Authorization, Capture, Settlement, Reconciliation & Chargebacks – Yrs of Exp – 5+ years
• Requirements Gathering, Backlog, Epics, User Stories & Acceptance Criteria – Yrs of Exp – 8+ years

Responsibilities:

1. Product Strategy and Roadmap

• Define and communicate the product vision and roadmap for payment gateway solutions.
• Analyze market trends, competitors, and emerging payment technologies to identify opportunities and risks.
• Prioritize features and enhancements based on business impact, customer feedback, and technical feasibility.
• Align product strategy with organizational goals and revenue targets.

2. Customer and Stakeholder Management

• Convert customer feedback into actionable product requirements.
• Conduct product demonstrations and training sessions for key stakeholders.
• Manage stakeholder expectations and communicate the product roadmap clearly.
• Track and report product metrics, KPIs, and business impact.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for merchants, processor partners, and internal business teams.
• Lead partner certification and onboarding programs for new processors and integrations.

3. Payment Domain Strategy and Roadmap

• Define the vision and multi-year roadmap for payment gateway capabilities, including:
• Card payments
• ACH
• RTP / FedNow
• Digital wallet acceptance
• Track card network rule changes, processor and acquirer developments, and emerging payment technologies.
• Prioritize features based on merchant value, revenue impact, risk exposure, and technical feasibility.
• Align payment roadmaps with revenue targets, partner commitments, and go-to-market plans.
• Monitor payment KPIs, including approval rates, transaction volume, take rate, dispute ratios, and operational incidents.

4. Requirements and Backlog Ownership

• Gather and document business, merchant, and technical requirements from internal and external stakeholders.
• Own and prioritize the product backlog, including epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Define requirements for transaction flows, including:
• Authorization
• Capture
• Void
• Refund
• Settlement
• Chargeback handling
• Manage project scope and negotiate trade-offs between business requirements and engineering capacity.
