Lead QA Engineer - Performance & Automation Testing

Job Description

We are seeking a hands-on Lead QA Engineer with strong performance testing, test automation, and team leadership experience. The ideal candidate will build and maintain automation frameworks, validate cloud-based APIs, and lead performance testing across complex enterprise systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain performance test automation frameworks using JMeter, ReadyAPI/SoapUI, Jenkins, and SQL.
• Design and execute load, stress, regression, and end-to-end performance tests for REST APIs hosted on AWS and Azure.
• Develop complex SQL queries and scripts for test data creation, extraction, and database validation.
• Define test strategies, plans, execution processes, and performance benchmarks.
• Analyze results, troubleshoot bottlenecks, manage defect triage, and communicate findings to stakeholders.
• Provide hands-on technical leadership and guide QA engineers throughout the testing lifecycle.
• Collaborate with development and business teams in Agile environments to ensure quality and timely delivery.

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of QA engineering experience, including hands-on performance testing and automation.
• Strong experience with JMeter, ReadyAPI/SoapUI, Jenkins, and SQL.
• Hands-on AWS and Azure cloud API testing experience.
• Proficiency in C#, Java, Python, Groovy, or JavaScript.
• Experience with complex SQL queries and databases such as MySQL, MS SQL Server, and Cosmos DB.
• Working knowledge of Selenium, Cucumber, BrowserStack, and Appium.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, TestRail, Jira, and Agile methodologies.
• Proven ability to lead testing projects, mentor QA engineers, and manage multiple priorities.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
