Job Description

Role : Java Full Stack Architect – Payments / Trade Finance
Location: Quincy, MA / Boston, MA - Hybrid – 3 to 4 days/week onsite

Responsibilities

Design and build a scalable transaction lifecycle tracking and monitoring platform from the ground up.
Define enterprise architecture using Java, Microservices, Elasticsearch/ELK, Azure, Kafka and APIs.
Design Elasticsearch indexes, mappings, ingestion pipelines, cluster architecture and search solutions.
Develop real-time dashboards and visualizations using Kibana for transaction monitoring and exception tracking.
Build and integrate REST APIs and reusable integration frameworks.
Integrate data from Kafka, MQ, APIs and multiple heterogeneous source systems.
Design workflow, exception-handling and automated work-item capabilities.
Ensure high availability, scalability, performance, security and data-retention compliance.
Work with relational and NoSQL databases.
Lead architecture decisions and provide technical guidance to development teams.
Mentor developers and establish development and architecture best practices.
Collaborate with business, engineering and product teams to define technical solutions.
Support Agile delivery, program governance and continuous improvement.
Assist with workforce planning, resource allocation and vendor coordination when required.

Required Skills

Strong hands-on experience with Java and Full Stack Development.
Strong expertise in Elasticsearch / ELK Stack / Kibana.
Experience with Elasticsearch cluster sizing, performance tuning, mappings, indexing strategies and ingest pipelines.
Strong experience with Azure Cloud Services.
Hands-on experience with Microservices and Event-Driven Architecture.
Strong experience with Kafka, MQ and event-streaming technologies.
Experience developing and integrating REST APIs.
Strong knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases.
Experience with high-volume transaction monitoring, order tracking, payment processing or trade lifecycle systems.
Strong understanding of distributed systems and enterprise application architecture.
Experience with cloud deployment and scalable enterprise platforms.
Strong communication, architecture and technical leadership skills.
