2068 Epicor ERP Administrator / Developer – Manufacturing

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Epicor ERP Administrator / Developer to support and enhance an Epicor ERP environment for a manufacturing organization. This individual will be responsible for the day-to-day administration, configuration, customization, development, and ongoing optimization of the ERP system.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on Epicor professional who combines strong technical skills with an understanding of manufacturing operations and business processes. This role will work closely with operations, production, supply chain, finance, and IT teams to troubleshoot issues, implement enhancements, and ensure Epicor effectively supports business needs.

Key Responsibilities

Epicor Administration & Support

• Administer, maintain, and support the Epicor ERP environment, ensuring system reliability, performance, and availability.
• Manage user accounts, roles, permissions, security settings, and system configurations.
• Troubleshoot and resolve application issues, working with Epicor support or external vendors as needed.
• Support system upgrades, patches, testing, and ongoing maintenance.
• Provide technical and functional support to end users across manufacturing and business departments.

Epicor Development & Customization

• Design, develop, configure, and maintain Epicor customizations to support business requirements.
• Develop and maintain Business Process Management (BPM) directives, Business Activity Queries (BAQs), dashboards, and reports.
• Work with Epicor development and configuration tools to automate processes, improve workflows, and enhance system functionality.
• Develop and support integrations between Epicor and other business applications.
• Troubleshoot custom code, configurations, and system processes to identify and resolve issues.
• Maintain technical documentation for customizations, configurations, integrations, and system changes.

Manufacturing Systems & Process Improvement

• Partner with manufacturing, production planning, inventory, purchasing, shipping, and finance teams to understand business requirements.
• Support Epicor functionality related to manufacturing operations, including production, inventory, materials management, purchasing, and order processing.
• Identify opportunities to streamline workflows, improve data accuracy, and automate manual processes.
• Translate business needs into effective ERP configurations, enhancements, and technical solutions.
• Assist with testing, implementation, and user training for new functionality and process improvements.

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on experience supporting, administering, configuring, or developing within Epicor ERP.
• Experience working with Epicor in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of Epicor administration, security, user management, and system configuration.
• Hands-on experience with Epicor development tools, including BPMs, BAQs, dashboards, and customizations.
• Experience troubleshooting ERP applications and supporting business users.
• Working knowledge of SQL and relational databases, including querying and troubleshooting.
• Understanding of manufacturing business processes such as production, inventory management, purchasing, and supply chain operations.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize requests, and collaborate with technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Epicor Kinetic.
• Experience with Epicor Application Studio and/or Epicor Classic customization tools.
• Knowledge of C#/.NET for Epicor development and customization.
• Experience with Epicor REST APIs, integrations, and automation.
• Experience developing SSRS reports or advanced Epicor reporting solutions.
• Experience participating in Epicor upgrades, migrations, or implementations.
• Familiarity with manufacturing environments involving multiple plants, warehouses, or business units.
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

This person should be comfortable supporting daily operations, solving complex ERP issues, working directly with manufacturing users, and building enhancements that improve efficiency and system performance.

We are looking for someone who can own the Epicor environment from both an administrative and technical perspective, rather than someone whose experience is limited to functional ERP support or software development alone.
