Location: Phoenix, AZ Area Hybrid

Role Summary
We are seeking a talented Workday Developer to serve as a key technical builder for our client’s comprehensive support a multi-year enterprise platform modernization initiative involving the implementation of a new cloud-based HR and financial management ecosystem and delivering long-term post-implementation support.
In this role, you will be primarily focused on hands-on core technical development, custom integrations, and advanced reporting. Working closely with cross-functional teams and business partners, you will translate functional requirements into robust, scalable technical solutions while maintaining system integrity across the enterprise.
Key Responsibilities
  • Design, build, test, and deploy complex end-to-end Workday integrations using Workday Studio and Enterprise Interface Builder (EIB).
  • Write and maintain custom XML, XSLT transformations, and web services to enable seamless data exchange between internal and external systems.
  • Develop, optimize, and schedule complex Workday custom reports, matrix reports, and calculated fields to meet business intelligence needs.
  • Collaborate directly with internal business stakeholders to gather technical requirements, analyze business processes, and translate them into actionable functional spec designs.
  • Provide continuous technical support, bug fixing, and maintenance throughout the active implementation phase and post-go-live operations.
  • Monitor integration performance, troubleshoot failure alerts, and execute prompt system enhancements to ensure data accuracy and security.
  • Partner with technical team members and cross-functional business cross-training staff to ensure cohesive platform alignment and knowledge sharing.
Key Requirements
  • 4+ years of dedicated hands-on experience in Workday development and technical support.
  • Deep proficiency in Workday Studio, EIB, XML, and XSLT transformations.
  • Proven track record of designing, building, and maintaining custom integrations and complex reports within a Workday ecosystem.
  • Familiarity with supporting core Workday HCM and Workday Financials environments.
  • Exposure to modern tools such as Workday Extend or Workday Orchestrate is highly desirable.
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities with a focused, hands-on development mindset.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to gather business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Adaptability and strong collaboration skills to thrive within a growing, dynamic technical team.
