Data Analyst (HBITS-08-15030) – New York, NY 10004 (3 days onsite per week)

Hi,

We are currently hiring for the Data Analyst role (Job ID: HBITS-08-15030) with one of our clients in New York, NY. As a prime vendor to New York State, we support their HBITS (Hourly-Based IT Services) requirements.

Position Details:

• Title: Data Analyst
• Duration: 30 Months
• Location: New York, NY 10004 (3 days onsite per week)
• Interview Mode: Single round, Virtual

Job Responsibilities:

• Source, clean, and structure data to import to R and Excel; use MS Excel/ statistical packages (R, Stata, python/pandas) to analyze and manipulate data, synthesize and summarize findings in Word for briefing memos. Leverage Excel and other tools to track and follow-up on division projects. Interact/collaborate with DFS staff and other partners.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 36 months of experience cleaning and organizing data, using Excel.
• 36 months of experience working with large datasets (100K to 1M+ rows) using MS Excel or similar tools.
• 36 months of experience with sourcing publicly available data.
• 24 months of experience using statistical packages, like R, Stata, and pandas to analyze data.
• 36 months of experience with MS Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe software.
• 24 months of experience tracking and/or coordinating projects.
• 36 months of experience working collaboratively in matrixed teams, while managing stakeholder relationships. For example: working on or owning a project component with multiple owners, requiring sign-off from separate divisions.
• 12 months of experience in climate-related topics or climate-related financial risks.
• 12 months of experience in financial services (banking, insurance, etc.) related topics.
