Workplace Technology Engineer

Location: Redwood City, California (Onsite)

Role Overview

The Workplace Technology team supports all technology infrastructure within our office environments, including IT hardware, audio/visual systems, physical security systems, and office technology used across multiple locations. As a Workplace Technology Engineer, you will work alongside a team to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and upgrade workplace technology. This is a hands-on role focused on hardware, supporting technology refreshes, office buildouts, and vendor-led installations, requiring coordination with external vendors and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install, replace, configure, and troubleshoot workplace technology hardware across office locations.
  • Support conference room technology, including displays, video conferencing systems, scheduling panels, projectors, and AV peripherals.
  • Assist with network infrastructure deployments, equipment refreshes, and hardware upgrades.
  • Support physical security systems, including badge access devices, intercom systems, cameras, and related hardware.
  • Coordinate and communicate with third-party vendors via email, phone, and in person.
  • Escort vendors onsite and ensure all work complies with security and site requirements.
  • Verify vendor installations are completed correctly and document completed work.
  • Participate in office buildouts, renovations, and infrastructure upgrade projects.
  • Conduct site walks, assess technology needs, and identify hardware issues.
  • Track projects, equipment inventories, vendor activities, and service requests.
  • Partner closely with Workplace Technology, Facilities, Security, and IT teams.
Required Qualifications
  • Experience with at least one of the following: Networking and IT infrastructure, Audio/Visual systems, or Physical security systems.
  • Hands-on experience installing, maintaining, or troubleshooting hardware.
  • Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with vendors, contractors, employees, and internal teams.
  • Ability to work across multiple office locations and support onsite technology needs.
  • Able to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in Help Desk, Desktop Support, Workplace Technology, AV Support, Field Services, Infrastructure Support, or Physical Security environments.
  • Exposure to conference room technology such as Logitech systems, scheduling panels, displays, and projectors.
  • Familiarity with badge access systems, CCTV, intercom systems, or physical security hardware.
  • CompTIA A+, Network+, or related technical certifications.
  • Experience supporting office buildouts, renovations, or workplace infrastructure projects.
  • Experience coordinating vendors and validating installation work.
