The Role

• Operate specialized heavy equipment such as hostlers, cranes, top loaders, and side loaders to move shipping containers.
• Load and unload containers from railcars and trucks, ensuring accurate placement and safety.
• Perform routine inspections of equipment to guarantee operational safety and readiness.
• Coordinate with yard personnel and supervisors to manage daily tasks and container movements.
• Maintain a safe and organized work environment following established protocols.
• Contribute to the smooth flow of freight by handling containers efficiently.

What You'll Need

• A valid driver's license is mandatory for this position.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Strong commitment to safety procedures and a keen attention to detail.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
• Basic communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs and climb ladders/stairs on railcars.
