The Role

• Operate specialized heavy equipment (hostlers, cranes, top loaders, side loaders) for the safe and efficient movement of shipping containers.
• Load and unload containers from railcars and trucks within an intermodal yard.
• Relocate, stack, and organize containers according to operational needs.
• Conduct pre and post-operation equipment inspections to ensure safety and functionality.
• Coordinate with yard personnel and supervisors to manage daily logistics and container movements.
• Maintain a safe and compliant work environment by adhering to established protocols.

What You'll Need

• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Previous experience operating heavy machinery or in logistics/industrial environments is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety protocols.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50lbs and climbing ladders/stairs.
• Willingness to work flexible schedules, including night shifts (2nd or 3rd shift), and outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Basic communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
