Job Description

Technical Implementation Manager

Location: Woodland Hills, CA (Hybrid / On-site with Founders)

Compensation: $95,000 - $115,000 + Equity

About Guidant

Guidant, a patented technology is bringing convenience, transparency, and dignity to the $20B+ US death care space. The cemetery real estate segment of this industry is ripe for digital transformation services that allow consumers to browse and purchase cemetery property online. Guidant is building a platform that allows cemeteries to do just that: sell online on their own branded sites, so families get a clearer, more convenient buying experience and cemetery operators get a modern storefront that still feels like theirs.

The Founding Opportunity

Founded by industry veterans with a surging book of business, we are assembling an in-house  technology team to join the Founding Trio in Woodland Hills, CA to accelerate our growth:

Collaborating directly alongside our founders, this team will oversee the platform build and manage client rollout cycles while rapidly scaling our core e-commerce platform.

The Role: Technical Implementation Manager (Founding)

Location: Woodland Hills, CA (Hybrid / On-site with Founders)

Compensation: $95,000 - $115,000 + Equity

You own Guidant's client implementation function: getting cemeteries live on the platform, on-brand, and actually using it to run their business. You bridge senior leadership, engineering, and client technical teams during onboarding. You are technical enough to do hands-on branding and connector work, and you feed clear product feedback to engineering. Engineering owns what becomes permanent in the platform. This is not a software engineering seat and not a product owner seat.

Core Responsibilities

Implementation Portfolio Leadership

●      Direct the building of a scalable system for getting clients live on our e-commerce platform

●      Own a concurrent implementation portfolio with clear sequencing and go-live targets

●      Set playbooks, cadence, and visibility for founders and engineering across rollouts

Program and Project Management

●      Plan, track, and communicate implementations (status, risks, dependencies), using AI where applicable

●      Produce client-ready summaries and rollout checklists quickly

●      Cut admin and coordination overhead so more time goes to getting clients live

●      Tracking post-launch analytics

Client Implementation

●      Configure and launch client experiences faster (using AI where appropriate)

●      Cover site setup, content migration, and day-to-day implementation tasks

●      Move without waiting on engineering for every change

Connectors and Integrations

●      Stand up and maintain connectors each cemetery or mortuary needs to operate

●      Work APIs, webhooks, CMS, and related handoffs with client technical teams

●      Partner with engineering when an integration must become a durable platform capability

Safe Prototyping and Client Extensions

●      Prototype and extend for client-specific needs without compromising the core product

●      Prefer configurations and extensions that survive platform upgrades

●      Avoid approaches that break when the shared codebase ships

●      Hand lasting product gaps to engineering as clear feature requests; engineering owns what becomes permanent

Minimum Qualifications

●      3+ years as a Technical Implementation Manager, Solutions Engineer, Technical Program Manager, or similar client-facing technical delivery role in SaaS/tech (implementation and rollout, not primarily coding).

●      Proven ability to run multiple client implementations or projects in parallel and keep them organized.

●      Working technical knowledge of modern web technology (APIs, webhooks, CMS structures, HTML/CSS/JS basics).

●      Experience using modern AI workflows, LLM tools, or rapid prototyping frameworks to accelerate technical execution.

●      Exceptional communication skills, with a track record of managing enterprise client relationships and partnering with engineering stakeholders.

●      Experience in a rapidly scaling start-up environment.

●      On-site availability in Woodland Hills, CA to collaborate closely with leadership.

Preferred Qualifications

●      Experience managing e-commerce website launches or client implementations

●      Background in PropTech, e-commerce onboarding, or SaaS enterprise software integrations.

●      Experience with agile delivery and project management tooling (Jira, Asana, MS Project, Smartsheet, Linear, GitHub, Notion).

●      Comfort with light front-end and integration work in AI-assisted tools.

●      A Computer Science degree or prior developer background is a plus, not a requirement.
