Title: Senior Agile Coach Location: 2 Broadway, New York, NY Duration: 9+ Months
Position Summary
The Senior Agile Coach is responsible for advancing Agile maturity across Product Line Teams by coaching leaders, Product Managers, Product Owners, Scrum Masters, and delivery teams on Agile principles, Lean practices, and product operating models. This role partners with business and technology leadership to improve organizational effectiveness, delivery predictability, and customer value while supporting enterprise Agile transformation initiatives.
The Senior Agile Coach will also contribute to the evolution of the Agile Center of Excellence (CoE) by developing Agile standards, governance, metrics, training programs, and continuous improvement practices that drive consistent Agile adoption across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Agile Coaching & Transformation
Coach Product Line Teams, Delivery Teams, and leadership on Agile values, principles, and best practices.
Assess Agile maturity and develop actionable improvement plans.
Lead and facilitate Agile transformation initiatives across the organization.
Guide teams in adopting Lean-Agile frameworks and modern ways of working.
Identify and remove organizational impediments impacting team performance and delivery.
Product Delivery Excellence
Coach Product Managers and Product Owners on product strategy, roadmap planning, backlog management, prioritization, and value delivery.
Improve sprint planning, execution, reviews, retrospectives, and overall Agile ceremonies.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement and delivery predictability.
Support cross-team dependency management and portfolio-level coordination.
Agile Leadership & Organizational Development
Partner with business and technology leaders to strengthen Agile capabilities across the enterprise.
Promote collaboration, transparency, accountability, and customer-focused delivery.
Develop and enhance Agile governance, standards, metrics, and reporting.
Design and deliver Agile training, workshops, and coaching sessions.
Contribute to the Agile Center of Excellence by establishing best practices and reusable frameworks.
Required Qualifications
Extensive experience as an Agile Coach, Scrum Master, or Agile Transformation Lead in large enterprise environments.
Strong knowledge of Agile frameworks including Scrum, Kanban, Lean, and SAFe.
Experience coaching executives, Product Managers, Product Owners, Scrum Masters, and cross-functional teams.
Proven ability to lead organizational change and enterprise Agile transformation initiatives.
Strong facilitation, mentoring, conflict resolution, and stakeholder management skills.
Experience implementing Agile metrics and continuous improvement practices.
Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Agile certifications such as Certified Scrum Professional (CSP), Certified Enterprise Coach (CEC), SAFe Program Consultant (SPC), PMI-ACP, or equivalent.
Experience working within large public sector, transportation, or highly regulated organizations.
Experience supporting Agile Centers of Excellence (CoE) and enterprise governance initiatives.
