Job Title: Systems Analyst / Technical Business Analyst

Location: Plano, TX Onsite

Duration: 12+ Months

Key Responsibilities

• Gather, analyze, and document business and technical requirements through stakeholder discussions, workshops, and system analysis.
• Translate business requirements into functional requirements, technical specifications, user stories, use cases, and acceptance criteria.
• Analyze existing applications and processes to identify gaps, dependencies, inefficiencies, and opportunities for system enhancement.
• Collaborate closely with Product Owners, Developers, Architects, QA teams, Data Engineers, and business stakeholders.
• Create process flows, data flows, system interaction diagrams, wireframes, and functional documentation.
• Analyze REST APIs, system interfaces, integrations, and data exchanges between applications.
• Work with technical teams to define API requirements, request/response structures, data mappings, and integration dependencies.
• Perform data analysis and SQL queries to validate requirements, investigate issues, and reconcile data across systems.
• Support application integration involving REST/SOAP APIs, microservices, databases, messaging platforms, and cloud-based systems.
• Participate in system testing, UAT, defect analysis, root-cause analysis, and production issue resolution.
• Review technical designs and ensure solutions align with documented business requirements.
• Manage requirements traceability and support change management throughout the project lifecycle.
• Develop and maintain documentation including BRDs, FRDs, RTMs, user stories, process documentation, and system specifications.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, demos, and retrospectives.
• Support production releases, system enhancements, incident investigation, and post-production validation.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience as a Systems Analyst, Technical Business Analyst, Business Systems Analyst, or similar technical role.
• Strong experience gathering and documenting business and technical requirements.
• Hands-on experience with SQL and relational databases.
• Strong understanding of REST APIs, JSON/XML, web services, and system integrations.
• Experience analyzing application workflows, data flows, interfaces, and system dependencies.
• Experience creating BRDs, FRDs, user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and technical documentation.
• Strong understanding of SDLC and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Experience working with Jira, Confluence, Visio, Lucidchart, or similar tools.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
