Technical Business Analyst - Atlas Search

We are working with a leading global alternative investment management firm seeking a Technical Business Analyst for a consultant engagement with a well-established financial services firm. The ideal candidate is a well-rounded technical BA focused on Legal and Compliance system enhancement, delivery, management, and support, with strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills and the ability to work independently.

Primary Responsibilities:

1. Provide first-line IT support for Regulatory Compliance and Legal business systems
2. Run daily checks on automated feeds, identifying and resolving errors
3. Assist business users with troubleshooting reports and data issues
4. Deliver process and technology solutions that increase Regulatory Compliance and Legal process efficiency
5. Collect, review, and document business needs and requirements, user documentation, and process flows; coordinate design reviews; serve as liaison between technology and business units
6. Perform complex analysis projects and clearly articulate solutions, rationale, issues, and tradeoffs
7. Provide developers with documentation needed for application builds and customizations
8. Perform data analysis and profiling; identify and resolve data gaps and quality issues
9. Collaborate with source/target system owners and SMEs to identify appropriate data resources
10. Perform application configuration and manage system releases/upgrades
11. Develop and execute QA/test scripts

Requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
2. Minimum 3 years as a Business Analyst within a financial institution
3. Demonstrated experience gathering, documenting, and translating business requirements into functional/technical specifications
4. Strong problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills; ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to liaise effectively between business and technology teams
6. Ability to produce clear documentation (process flows, user guides, technical requirements) for both business and technical audiences
