Associate Attorney, Civil Litigation

About the Role

Join a collaborative legal team handling employment, school, and general civil litigation. You will independently manage cases from intake through settlement or trial, with support from paralegals and experienced colleagues.

What You'll Do

• Manage civil litigation cases from initiation through settlement or trial.

• Draft and argue motions, conduct discovery, and take and defend depositions.

• Attend hearings and handle bench and jury trials.

• Meet with clients to develop litigation strategies and negotiate settlement agreements.

• Collaborate with colleagues on case strategy in an in-office environment.

What We're Looking For

• At least 6 years of civil litigation experience, including motion practice and discovery.

• Experience independently managing a caseload and guiding matters through litigation, ideally through trial.

• Strong legal writing and experience drafting and arguing motions, including summary judgment motions.

• Deposition experience, including taking and defending depositions.

• Trial experience as first or second chair, or demonstrated readiness to try cases.

• Background in employment law, school law, insurance defense, or general civil litigation.

• J.D. from an accredited law school and active Washington State Bar membership in good standing, or ability to obtain membership.

• Self-directed approach and willingness to work in the office daily.

Compensation & Benefits

Annual base salary: $150,000 to $200,000. Visa sponsorship is available.
