QA Tester

Job Title: QA Tester

Position Type: Contract

Location: New York, NY (onsite)

Rate: $32/hr. to $36/hr. on W2

Job Description:

Responsibilities:

·         Perform functional, regression, integration, smoke, E2E, exploratory, performance, stress/longevity testing.

·         Leverage AI-assisted tools in day-to-day work - generating test cases, bug reports, defect triaging, and test execution.

·         Prompt AI tools to generate and validate automated tests and critically review outputs.

·         Compare and evaluate multiple AI-generated suggestions to select the highest-quality approach.

·         Contribute reusable prompt patterns and AI workflows with the QA team for adoption.

·         Create and maintain test cases for new and existing features using TestRail.

·         Daily “bug-hunting” - always on the lookout for defects, usability improvements, cosmetic “eye-sores”, etc. and properly track them for resolution.

·         Understand success metrics for your projects and proactively execute.

Requirements:

·         Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent work experience.

·         2+ years of industry experience in Software QA.

·         Strong knowledge of QA concepts and methodologies.

·         Experience with Mobile and Web Applications testing.

·         Experience with testing Android OS.

·         Hands-on experience using AI-assisted tools (Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot, ChatGPT) to accelerate testing, debugging, and/or documentation tasks.

·         Experience writing test plans and test cases for consumer facing applications.

·         Ability to troubleshoot and triage issues, prioritize accordingly, and offer a resolution.

·         Knowledge of at least one programming or scripting language.
