Hybrid: QA Automation Tester

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable automated test frameworks using Java.
• Build and execute UI automation suites using Selenium WebDriver and Playwright (cross-browser coverage).
• Develop automated tests for:
• Web UI (functional, regression, smoke, cross-browser)
• API testing (REST services; functional & contract testing)
• Integration and E2E workflows
• Improve test reliability via:
• smarter waits/synchronization
• stable locators strategy
• reducing flaky tests
• parallel execution and test optimization
• Integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).
• Analyze failures, troubleshoot root causes, and collaborate with engineering teams on fixes.
• Maintain test reports and dashboards (e.g., Allure/Extent, CI reports) to track quality metrics.
• Contribute to test strategy, test data management, and quality best practices.
• Participate in agile ceremonies, code reviews, and quality gating.

Requirements:

• Experience in Java (Core Java, OOP, Collections, exceptions, design principles).
• Strong hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver (TestNG/JUnit, Page Object Model, robust locator strategies).
• Hands-on experience with Playwright (preferably Playwright Java; strong understanding of browser contexts, tracing, and network mocking as needed).
• Experience with test framework development (custom utilities, reusable components, reporting, retry, parallelism).
• Solid understanding of automation best practices (clean code, maintainability, modular design).
• Experience with Git and modern branching strategies.
• Experience with CI/CD and automated test execution pipelines.
• Understanding of SDLC/STLC, Agile/Scrum practices.
