Job Description

We're looking for an IT Support Engineer to join our IT team on a full-time basis and provide hands-on technical support across MRC and our associated businesses.

This is a practical, varied role supporting workstations, devices, Microsoft 365, networks, POS and workplace technology across our offices, venues and racecourses. You'll troubleshoot issues, manage devices and user accounts, support new technology and help keep our teams connected and productive.

With MRC operating across multiple sites and a busy calendar of race meetings and events, there's plenty of variety, from resolving a day-to-day technology issue to providing on-site support when it matters most.

About Us

Melbourne Racing Club (MRC) is an iconic sporting and entertainment organisation with a proud 150-year legacy. While we're renowned for hosting elite horse racing at Caulfield, Sportsbet Sandown and Mornington Racecourses, we're also so much more. From vibrant events and functions to our 17 Pegasus Leisure Group (PLG) hospitality venues across Victoria and community initiatives through the MRC Foundation, we're dedicated to delivering exceptional experiences for our guests, members and community.

In The Saddle

  • Providing technical support to users across MRC's racecourse and venues both in person and remotely
  • Installing, configuring and supporting Windows and Mac devices, POS systems, printers, phones and other IT technology
  • Supporting and administering Microsoft 365 services including Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Exchange and Intune
  • Troubleshooting hardware, software, network and connectivity issues
  • Supporting POS and event technology across MRC's venues and racecourses, including raceday and event support
  • Managing user accounts, onboarding activities, device deployments and access through Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID
  • Assisting with technology projects, system upgrades, hardware refreshes and continuous improvement initiatives

Your Track Record

  • A relevant IT qualification or equivalent hands-on experience in a Service Desk, Desktop Support or IT Support role
  • Experience supporting Microsoft 365 and workplace technology environments
  • Knowledge of Windows and Mac operating systems, device deployment and endpoint management practices
  • Experience with Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, user provisioning and access management
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Intune, Autopilot and modern device management concepts
  • A sound understanding of networking fundamentals including DNS, DHCP, VPNs and troubleshooting methodologies
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a methodical approach to resolving technical issues
  • Experience supporting POS, AV, hospitality or event technology environments will be advantageous
  • Drivers Licence required

The Perks

  • Ongoing learning and development opportunities.
  • Access to our year-round well-being initiatives including our Employee Assistance Program for staff and family.
  • Racing Industry Member passes, discounts across our family of brands and free tickets to a wide range of events to enjoy with friends & family.
  • Free onsite parking or a short walk from Caulfield train station.
  • Leave options that suit your lifestyle, including paid parental leave, volunteer leave and cultural leave.

Melbourne Racing Club values differences in gender, age, ethnicity, race, cultural background, disability, religion, and sexual orientation and encourages all suitable applicants to apply for this role.
